Food Rescue and Recovery
Second Helpings Atlanta Volunteer Drivers rescue food from a network of Food Donors, transport it to one of our Partner Agencies and return home in 90 minutes or less. Many of our food pickups and deliveries (what we call “routes”) occur in the early morning during the week. However, we continually add new routes, many of which occur on Saturdays and Sundays.
Volunteer Drivers typically pick up and deliver food once a month. After delivering the food, they report an estimate of the number of pounds of food delivered using an online Reporting Form.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Second Helpings Atlanta has many other Volunteer roles. Some of those volunteer opportunities are listed below. Please let us how you would like to get involved.
